200h ASHTANGA YOGA TEACHER TRAINING - SCIENCE OF THE MIND - In-Person Training

Gaya Immersions Teacher Training Program focuses on true understanding of the yogic philosophy and inclusive ways to practice yoga. You are encouraged to link the acquired understanding of yoga to a deep awareness of the practice and to integrate that understanding in your daily actions. Yoga hereby becomes a form of practical spirituality and a way of living to empower you and those around you.

Silence is a key element of the training, not only as a foundation for your intuitive skills but as a self questioning ancient practice to study yourself and to awaken you to the most sensitive layers of consciousness.

On a physical level, we introduce you to world-renowned wellbeing practices. The body-mind relationship is explored in-depth, with a scientific introduction to the properties of the brain/ mind with tools to self-regulate. Through discipline, knowledge and compassion, overtime, your mind can become a loyal servant in realizing the journey of the heart.

Gaya Immersions 200h Yoga Alliance Teacher Training is a 23 day immersion to understand Yoga as a way of life, a spiritual path connected to nature and life itself, seen and unseen, inside and around us. There are a few suggested lectures to be taken before starting the course, to make sure you are prepared and can focus on your process of spiritual exploration during your immersion.

Our education provides a solid foundation for those who wish to embark on a journey of self-discovery and mastery in a safe space that encourages personal growth, free expression and deep connection - to yourself and others.

A basic knowledge of yoga postures and philosophy is helpful but not necessary. However, a sincere desire to learn and an openness to the teachings of Yoga is required.

The 4 Paths of Yoga

Raja / Ashtanga Yoga – The Path of the Mind - The Royal Yoga and the base of Gaya Yoga Method (4 Sciences combined). We integrate practical exercises into our schedule and science based approach linked to ancient practices. A fixed sequence of poses is given based on the Primary and Second series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Creative sequencing will also be given.

Karma Yoga or The Path of Action: is the practice of selfless service. It gives a deeper understanding of what it means to be part of a learning community, to live together harmoniously and share everyday life joyfully. We will learn and experience different themes related to this topic.

Bhakti Yoga or The Path of Devotion: some evenings we gather for joyful and meditative chanting. Chanting encourages the feeling of surrender and devotion – the path of Bhakti Yoga. On a modern living approach Bhakti should be present in every experience and path we decide to take - the act of surrender, trust and know that everything is always on divine timing.

Jnana Yoga or The Path of Wisdom: is integrated in our day-to-day life with the guidance of our teachers. Silent moments to self-inquire are unique opportunities to place the theoretical as well as the practical aspects of Yoga into a wider spiritual perspective.

This is a very unique training based on experiential studies between exploring the deeper meaning of Yoga and its practical application for the modern daily living. Our education provides a solid foundation for those who wish to embark on a journey of self-discovery and mastery in a safe space that encourages personal growth, free expression and deep connection.
