200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
3 months online + 1 week immersion in Portugal
Hybrid format
The accessibility of online study. The connection of face-to-face training.
We recognize that a face-to-face teacher training program can be challenging for those who cannot take 28 days off. That is why we have developed our course in a hybrid format. Part online + part face-to-face, this course is optimized for accessibility, retention, and integration into your daily life, while maintaining the fundamental aspects of community and teacher-student connection.
*125h:
The course consists of four self-paced online learning modules with pre-recorded content and assignments. It should be completed within three months.
*15h:
Livestream sessions twice a month (every new moon and full moon) with progressive practices of asana sequences, pranayama (breath work), rituals, meditations, and practical routines.
* 60h:
7-day immersion program in Portugal.
NOTA: Os manuais de formação estão disponíveis em inglês ou português. As aulas são bilingues.

Teachers
Sara Montes
Gaya Yoga Teacher Trainer and Founder of Gaya Immersions
You can (and should) continue with your current teacher (if you have one) after and during the training—our goal is integration, not separation. This is a program to deepen your knowledge as a practitioner and teacher—first of yourself, then of others. Mutual exploration and empowerment are fundamental ingredients of Gaya.
The training is led by Sara Montes and features several guest teachers in the areas of Anatomy, Kirtan, Handstands/Arm Balances, and assistant teachers for adjustments in positions and support throughout the course.
Yoga Alliance Accreditation
The Yoga Alliance is the leading regulatory body for quality yoga programs worldwide.
Students must complete all 200 mandatory hours (partially online). Exams will be oral, practical, and written. Upon completion of this training, you will receive a 200-hour certification from the Yoga Alliance.
Note: This is the 200-hour Core Training of the Advanced Training (500 hours) of Gaya Yoga Sciences Education.
